NOVELS

This novella, based on my stage-play, Caldwell’s Bomb, is now available in both paperback and e-book forms at Amazon.

It’s the summer of 2010, and a small Missouri town is dying—hemorrhaging jobs, population, and civility. Many of the people who remain are confused and frightened, searching for scapegoats to blame for their troubles.

Several of the town’s angriest men have formed the Eagles of Liberty militia to battle those they blame for unemployment, changing demographics, and what they see as a conspiracy to destroy traditional American values.

When the Eagles recruit Caldwell Ducey—a physically imposing but intellectually challenged and timid young man—into a plot to assassinate a senator, he is forced to confront what he truly believes and decide whether anything is worth a fight

What began as an exercise to help clear my chemo-induced brain fog led to some interesting discoveries.  I’m very pleased with how the project turned out, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading it
